Abstract art of kelp forest in deep water

The Deep II

Enquire

"The Deep II" was inspired by the Kelp forests off the coast of California; an extensive ecosystem for many organisms from the sea floor to the ocean's surface. When I saw them in the 1980's they were under threat because the sea otters were under threat from humans. No sea otters, no kelp forests. The sea otters eat sea urchins and other invertebrates that graze on giant kelp and destroy it
